TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — The Terre Haute Fire Department responded to a fire on Sunday night that started in a camper and spread to a nearby home.
According to THFD chief, Bill Berry, the report of the fire located at 2003 1st Ave. came in around 10:00 p.m. on Sunday, August 6.
Berry explained that a camper caught on fire behind a residence and the fire then extended into the home’s attic. Firefighters were able to knock the fire down quickly but stayed on the scene to check for hot spots.
Berry also noted there were no injuries and that no one lived in the residence. The cause of the fire is currently under investigation.
